If anyone has been wondering about my move, my decision is that I will be staying at Baldwin Park H.S.! pic.twitter.com/9uMMuLQ15L

HE’S STAYING: In a recent post on Aram’s In the Huddle Five Burning Questions, he asked about the potential of Baldwin Park’s 6-foot-5 standout offensive lineman Francisco “Paco” Perez possibly transferring to Bishop Amat, Cathedral, La Mirada or somewhere else given Perez’s potential at the next level. But Perez, who has offers from Arizona State, Washington State, California, Stanford, Texas Tech, Kansas State and others, answered that question emphatically on twitter today announcing he isn’t leaving Baldwin Park.
Interesting isn’t it? It’s the first time I’ve ever seen a high school athlete announce on Twitter that he ISN’T transferring. Get use to it, this is where we’re going with social media. At the same time, good for Perez because nine out of ten times a player of his level would leave his friends behind for greener pastures. I guess he realized whether he’s at Mater Dei or Baldwin Park, his offers aren’t going to change.
