Softball Playoffs: San Dimas knocks off undefeated Edgewood 8-1; Bishop Amat rallies with four runs in the seventh to win 4-3

TO SUM IT UP: Area softball fared well today. San Dimas ended Edgewood’s undefeated season with an 8-1 win, but the Lions have some juice, they’ll be solid in years to come. The story of the day is what Bishop Amat did. They trailed Burbank 3-0 and scored four runs in the seventh to pull it out. And they did it against one of the better pitchers in the section. South Hills stayed alive with a nine-inning 2-1 win over Villa Park and Sierra Vista, yes, Sierra Vista is moving on to the D-5 quarterfinals after a 2-1 win over Louisville. Glendora ran into a buzz-saw, getting no-hit in its 1-0 loss to Westlake.
