Gladstone trying to win own volleyball tournament

Gladstone High School typically goes far in its own volleyball tournament, but the Gladiators have had a tough time winning the event.

“We have a really good team this year,” coach Jeff Devine said. “We beat people in Division 4.”

A wonderful artical promoting Gladstone volleyball. Just one problem, Gladstone has not played “Moutain Veiw leauge nemesis Duarte”, this year. False statement or mis quote, not sure. But a fact check is in order. By the way, the artical states Gladstone is 23-0 in summer leauge play. Then states they lost to West Covina. I hope this is a mis-print and not preseason propaganda

Gladstone can still win the tournament but they did not win their pool Thursday as they lost to Webb in three to end the evening. Looks like St. Paul from Pool B is the team to beat.
