Garey 18, Pomona 0 — The team of Danielle Castaneda and Jannyda Sre swept in doubles and Sunita Bohara swept in singles for the Vikings (14-1, 11-0) in a Miramonte League win.
Gladstone 14, Duarte 4 — The teams of Anahi Sandoval and Brianna La Rue and Valeria deLeon and Melina Ramos swept in doubles and Marina Chow swept in singles for the Gladiators (9-1, 6-0) in a Montview League victory.
Boys water polo
Claremont 12, Ayala 8 — Goalie Kellan Grant had 10 saves, Bruno Snow registered six goals and Jonathan Wong added four goals to lead the Wolfpack ( 10-6, 2-0) to the Palomares League victory. Also contributing to Claremont’s win were Lenny Davis and Mat Turk who each scored a goal. Neil Arnett had three goals and Anthony Carzo scored twice for Ayala.
Girls volleyball
Diamond Ranch 3, Charter Oak 0 — Jackie Graves registered 11 kills and Marina Roski added nine kills for the Panthers (13-3, 2-0) in a 25-11, 25-18, 25-22 Hacienda League win.
Duarte 3, Azusa 1 — Daisy Portillo had 24 kills and six digs and Rossana Rico had 31 assists, four aces and nine digs for the Falcons (16-5, 2-1) in a 13-25, 25-18, 25-23, 25-18 Montview League win. Duarte’s Elva Sandoval had 11 digs and Ryley Thompson had eight kills.
St. Lucy’s 3, Etiwanda 1 — Loryn Carter had 18 kills and Jenna Bailey and Amber Mendoza each had seven aces for the Regents (8-7, 2-1) in a 25-10, 25-27, 25-12, 25-6 Baseline League victory.
La Salle 3, Bishop Amat 2 — Ashley Tobar and Nicole Ramirez each had 10 kills and Camille Ferguson had nine kills and five aces for Bishop Amat in a 25-21, 20-25, 25-13, 16-25,15-10 Del Rey League loss. Sara Ward had 20 assists and four aces and Lauren Baca had five aces for Bishop Amat.
