Workman 51, Baldwin Park 30In a game that was much closer than the final score indicated, Workman clinched its fifth consecutive Montview League boys basketball championship with a win over Baldwin Park on Wednesday night.The Lobos (18-7, 9-0) won their 17th consecutive league game and have gone 58-3 in league play the last five years.The Braves (13-10, 7-2) pulled within five points, 32-27, with six minutes left in the game, but junior Oliver Lopez and Alan Matronhit back to back 3-pointers as Workman took control of the game.
South El Monte 66, Arroyo 54 — Alex Hernandez scored 16 points, Chris Salcedo added 15 points and Adrian Diaz had 12 points for the Eagles (11-12, 7-4) in a Mission Valley League contest. Ben Lee and Justin Alfonso each had 11 points for Arroyo (13-12, 6-5).
Bishop Amat 65, Salesian 50 — Ryder Ruiz scored 22 points, James St. Louis had 15 points and Harrison Kay added 14 points for the Lancers (21-5, 7-3) in a Camino Real League game.
Chino 63, Diamond Ranch 57 — Roman Silva had 19 points, eight rebounds and four blocks and Tyler Velotta and Ahmad Chambers both had 10 points for the Panthers (19-7, 8-1) in a Hacienda League loss.Girls soccer
Sierra Vista 7, Duarte 3 — Samantha Loza scored three goals, Berenice Mancinas scored twice, Dianna Garcia scored a goal and had two assists and Maria Hernandez scored a goal to lead the Dons (20-2-1, 9-0), who clinched their ninth straight Montview League title.
Monrovia 2, South Pasadena 1 — Brandy Perez and Savanna Pfau each scored a goal and goalie Ariana Robles had eight saves to lead the Wildcats (14-6-3, 7-2-1), who won the Rio Hondo League title.

Duarte 63, Sierra Vista 31 — Patricia Morris had 20 points and 12 rebounds and MacKenzie Barnes and Ryley Thompson each scored 13 points to lead the Falcons (23-3, 9-0), who clinched the Montview League title.
