Glendora hires Steve Jimenez to take over girls soccer and JJ Iles to take over boys program

Glendora has named two new head soccer coaches and made a big splash hiring Steve Jimenez from Sierra Vista, where he built that program into a small-school power. While at Sierra Vista from 2007-16, Jimenez led the Dons to the school’s first ever CIF-SS team championship, winning the Division 6 crown in 2010. He also led Sierra Vista to nine league championships and advanced to at least the quarterfinals in almost every year since winning the title in 2010. J.J. Iles will take over the boys soccer program. Iles was a head coach at Covina from 2013-15, winning the Valle Vista league title in 2015 before becoming an assistant with La Canada this past season, where he helped lead the Spartans to the Division 6 quarterfinals.
