Los Altos routs San Marino: Like most of the Los Altos High School football team’s opponents, San Marino knew exactly what was coming but couldn’t stop it.
The Titans’ defense got a healthy dose of Conquerors’ standout running back Tyler Nevens, and by the end of the night the senior standout had run wild in a 38-6 win in the season opener for both teams on Friday.
“It’s truly a blessing,” said Nevens. “All of my teammates, we all came together. We were all hyped up for this game. We knew San Marino was going to come out with some intensity and we just had to come out with more.”Nevens rushed for 285 yards and four touchdowns. The Titans tried to match Los Altos’ ground game with one of their own, a stark change from last season’s pass-happy attack which averaged 46 points per game, but the Conquerors’ defense was having none of it.
