VIDEO: St. Paul will forfeit Friday’s game to Bishop Amat after multiple players suspended

St. Paul Forfeits: St. Paul High School’s football team will forfeit last week’s game at Notre Dame of Riverside and this week’s game against Bishop Amat due to last week’s brawl between St. Paul and Notre Dame, which resulted in the game being halted early with St. Paul leading 17-0.
The Southern Section released a statement on Monday saying that there were multiple violations of the CIF bylaw that prohibits players from leaving their team’s bench area to join in a fight. Because St. Paul had so many players facing suspension this week due to those violations, it was determined the Swordsmen couldn’t field a team in order to play Amat.

CIF handed down its ruling today, forcing St. Paul to forfeit last week’s game it was winning, and this Friday’s game to Bishop Amat
