Charter Oak’s Big Lou gets No. 300 — Charter Oak High School’s Lou Farrar has been one of the area’s top football coaches for more than three decades, and now he has a milestone to go with his first-rate reputation — 300 wins.
Matthew Takata threw for 409 yards and three touchdowns and Charter Oak got its legendary coach his magic number Friday with a 45-21 victory over host Chino in a Hacienda League game.
Isaiah Hamilton had three receptions for 193 yards and two touchdowns and Jermaine Braddock had four for 131 for the Chargers (7-0, 2-0). Willie Morris had 119 yards receiving and two touchdowns for the Cowboys (4-3, 1-1).
