South Hills blows lead in loss to Ayala: Trailing by 13 at halftime, Ayala (6-4, 5-0) chipped away at South Hills’ lead before scoring the go-ahead touchdown with just over three minutes remaining in the game en route to a 21-20 win and an outright Palomares League football championship.
The intensity on the field carried over into the post-game handshake when coaches from both teams needed to be separated before cooler heads prevailed.

Los Altos finishes perfect regular season: Los Altos completed a perfect regular season to clinch the Hacienda League title with a 24-0 victory over West Covina on Friday night.
The Conquerors (10-0, 5-0) ranked No. 1 in CIF Southern Section Division 6, should be the top seed when the pairings are announced on Sunday.
“It’s been team football all year,” Conquerors coach Dale Ziola said. “I think these kids genuinely love each other so this is special and it’s all about these kids.”

San Dimas punches playoff ticket: San Dimas bursts its way into the playoffs with a 48-21 win Friday night against Covina, securing second place in the Valle Vista League.
After a tough loss last week to Baldwin Park, the Saints (8-2, 3-2) found themselves in a position they didn’t expect — needing to win to reach the playoffs.
“There was no guarantee heading into tonight,” San Dimas head coach Mark Holman said, “We had to win, and so we treated this game like a playoff game and we’re better for it.”
