CIF LUNCHEON: The experiences couldn’t have been more drastically different for the representatives of the Arroyo and Los Alto high school football teams at Monday’s CIF Southern Section Press Conference and Luncheon.
The Conquerors, who are playing in their second final in three years, spent time during the luncheon watching video of Friday’s opponent Paraclete on their mobile devices. Meanwhile, two tables away, Arroyo head coach Jim Singiser told the crowded banquet room that his contingent was a little bit in awe.“
It hasn’t sunk in,” Singiser said. “I want to go over and talk to (Mater Dei head coach) Bruce Rollinson. I got my picture taken with Chris Rix. I’m just like a kid. It’s awesome. It’s a real big honor for us and these kids to be able to experience this.

Congratulations to both teams! Our area is well represented and how great would it be to have two teams from our area be CIF Champions.

I agree! I usually go to the Division I game at Angel’s Stadium every year, but this year I’m staying local to support Los Altos on Friday night and Arroyo on Saturday. Best of Luck to the both of them!
