Boys basketball
South Hills 65, Sierra Vista 40 — Jason Rodriguez scored 16 points, Justin Acosta added 14 points and Damon Reygadas had 13 points for the Huskies (6-6) in a Covina Tournament first-round victory. Also for South Hills, Dalton Clevenger had 11 points and 11 rebounds. The Huskies will play Cajun in the quarterfinals today at 3 p.m.
Rowland 51, Perris 47 — Curtis Hong scored 22 points and had seven steals, Phillip Aguiniga had 12 points, six rebounds and five assists and Jarbas Faria added 12 points for the Raiders (8-3) in a Wilson Tournament pool-play victory.
San Dimas 68, Pomona 34 — Donnell Leffridge scored 15 points and Spencer Bandow added 11 points and had four rebounds for the Saints (8-3) in a Damien Tournament bronze division first-round victory. Also for San Dimas, Elijah Jackson had six assists and Russell Ocampo had five assists. Ivan Richmond had eight points for Pomona. San Dimas will host Diamond Bar today at 4:30 p.m.
West Covina 64, Silverado 59 — Nick Hart scored 31 points and Darian Nickols added 16 points for the Bulldogs (8-4) in a Damien Tournament bronze division first-round victory.
Crean Lutheran 63, Diamond Ranch 43 — Michael Miller Jr. had 11 points and Anthony Enriquez and Marcus Ratliff each had nine points for the Panthers (2-8) in an Orange Holiday Classic loss.
Charter Oak 74, Dymally 14 — The Chargers (6-2) defeated the Challengers (1-8) in a Wilson Tournament first-round game.

Girls basketball
Glendora 74, La Quinta 11 — Alex Lowden had 17 points, 10 steals and 10 rebounds and Kyra Zovak and Michelle Can each scored 10 points for the Tartans (10-1) in a Glendora Tournament pool-play win. Glendora will play Temple City today at 1:30 p.m.
Duarte 64, Santa Paula 27 — Ryley Thompson scored 19 points, Patricia Morris had 11 points and 11 rebounds and Macy Barnes added 11 points for the Falcons (9-3) in a West Coast Holiday Classic first-round victory.
