Los Altos is also on the prowl for a new head coach after Dale Ziola’s resignation shortly after the Conquerors’ loss to Paraclete in the Division 6 championship game.
According to athletic director Andrew Formano, Los Altos will begin setting up “initial” interviews next week. The school had 26 applicants and Formano isn’t sure yet how many of them will get interviews.
It’s also unclear whether there is a teaching job to go along with the position. Formano said it depends on the candidate and if the ultimate choice is a teacher, the possibility of an accompanying teaching position will be discussed at that time.Los Altos is trying to maintain the winning ways that Ziola re-established when he took the job in 2011. Prior to that, the program struggled mightily following the resignation of Greg Gano after the 2007 season.
