Glendora girls fall in finals: The Thousand Oaks girls basketball team got into the playoff by luck — literally. It tied for third in its league and only advanced to the postseason because it won a coin flip.
Meanwhile, Glendora settled for a second-place showing the Palomares League.The teams showed its what you do at the end that matters, and it was Thousand Oaks emerging with a 62-52 win in the CIF Southern Section Division 3AA championship game Saturday morning at Honda Center.Despite the loss, it was the best showing in school history for the Tartans (25-6), who were looking for the school’s first title in the sport.
