That is quite a bit of punishment to drop south hills that low that quickly, after all their losses are either all to national powers or the tribune number 1 current team. they beat the tribune #2 team twice. and tribune #3 really lacks a signature win and a weak league. in the end it will likely work itself out, but seems a bit harsh considering the rest of their body of work.

Have some concern with South Hills, not just three straight losses, but four of five wins previous were by two runs or less, only beating Claremont by two runs twice, and beating Charter Oak and Ayala by a run. I thought they would be more dominating offensively. The pitching is there, but they’re not hitting well enough or scoring enough runs. In 12 of 22 games they’ve scored three runs or less. Look, they’re good, they can beat anyone, you can make an argument for No. 2. But by not scoring enough, they’re also vulnerable to losses despite their great pitching. I’ll tell you this, unless they become more consistent offensively, it’s going to be hard to win five straight D1 games and a title. They can too easily be shut down by a good pitcher.
