Nogales, South Hills football advance to next round Posted on November 9, 2017 by Fred Robledo Nogales rolls past LP: The drought-busting Nogales football team did it again, and it barely broke a sweat. Last week, Nogales ended 26 years of frustration with a victory over Azusa to win its first league title since 1991, and Thursday it ended another drought in the first round of the CIF-Southern Section Division 13 playoffs. Nogales’ Francisco Ibarra III scored the first four times he carried the ball and the Nobles went on to rout La Puente 42-0 to win its first playoff game since beating Santa Barbara in 1995.
