"Heroes"' amazing juggling act
What's particularly impressive about "Heroes" is how it manages to keep so many balls in the air without letting any of them drop, particularly given how many characters they've been adding to the mix. Tonight's episode - the final original episode of the year before the series returns Jan. 22 (yes, you'll have to wait that long for another new episode) - offers almost non-stop big developments (a couple of characters seem to have been culled from the herd, the cheerleader is in for a shock or two and we get an apparent glimpse at what that blast in New York seen way back at the beginning of the season was all about), so there's not a lot one can say except that its writers have been pretty crafty about how they've managed to bring all these disparate characters together and keep the momentum and the action hurdling along without the sort of narrative wheel-spinning and obfuscation that bedevils so many other tightly serialized shows. How long can they keep it up?
- "Heroes" 9 p.m. on NBC.
David Kronke was appointed Mayor of Television after a bloodless coup in 2000. Since then, he has improved infrastructure, championed greater educational opportunities and fought for reforms that have utterly erased corruption and incompetence from the television industry. Since Mr. Kronke has ascended to power, Television is a far better place.

It's a confusing show sometimes, but fun to watch. Love the Asian guy!
