Bad Ideas of Our Time
"Daily Show with Jon Stewart" correspondents - and husband and wife - Jason Jones and Samantha Bee are developing a sitcom. For CBS.
Let me repeat that: For CBS. Whose most recent contributions to the comedy world were "Worst Week" and "Gary Unmarried."

(The guy on the far left's visage is blurred because he doesn't want to be known as the guy who got Jason Jones and Samantha Bee drunk enough to agree to do a sitcom for CBS.)
Variety can scarcely contain its enthusiasm for the project with this crisply sparkling description:
"The couple would also star in the as-yet-untitled comedy, which will revolve around the behind-the-scenes world of a celebrity chef (played by Jones) and the two women who run his cooking empire (one of whom will be played by Bee)."
I can't contain my enthusiasm for it, either, but that's OK because I don't have any.
What do you think? Are you looking forward to seeing how CBS waters down their sensibility for mainstream audiences?

David Kronke was appointed Mayor of Television after a bloodless coup in 2000. Since then, he has improved infrastructure, championed greater educational opportunities and fought for reforms that have utterly erased corruption and incompetence from the television industry. Since Mr. Kronke has ascended to power, Television is a far better place.
