It's true: The Presidential campaign is more entertaining than "My Own Worst Enemy"
Entertainment Weekly has found what a bunch of us had already realized: That this election cycle is the best reality-entertainment going these days (in their recent poll, one in five found it more satisfying than reality TV). Our obsessions with Barack Obama and Sarah Palin pale in comparison to what we might care to think of, say, "Kath & Kim" or "Crusoe."

(The Fall-TV season's brightest new stars.)
EW, in a poll, found that 60% of us have found this campaign "entertaining" ("entertaining," in some cases, may mean "sorely depressing but instructive") and that those between the ages of 18 and 34 have spent a third of their time in front of the tube watching election coverage - 31% told EW that the campaign was "a heck of a lot more entertaining than the new '90210.'"
Which speaks to those depressed ratings in the fall season: Half of those EW polled said they've abandoned the hoary primetime schedules in favor of more election coverage, and one in four young viewers cop to having watched such things as Tina Fey's Sarah Palin imitation online.
Of course, "SNL," The Daily Show with Jon Stewart," "The Colbert Report" and "Real Time with Bill Maher" can enjoy their current high viewership while it lasts: 30% say they'll watch less of these shows once the election is over. Perhaps because if their candidate doesn't win, they'll off themselves.

David Kronke was appointed Mayor of Television after a bloodless coup in 2000. Since then, he has improved infrastructure, championed greater educational opportunities and fought for reforms that have utterly erased corruption and incompetence from the television industry. Since Mr. Kronke has ascended to power, Television is a far better place.
