Monday notes

Coach Karl Dorrell said auditions will continue as the search continues for a punt returner, with the candidates being tailback Chris Markey and receivers Marcus Everett, Terrence Austin and Ryan Graves.
Safety Dennis Keyes will be UCLA’s safety valve, dropping back when the Bruins keep their defense on the field.
Also, UCLA’s Sept. 23 game at Washington will kickoff at 4 p.m. and be broadcast by TBS. …Dorrell said cornerback Michael Norris (knee) is expected to play against the Huskies, but was unsure of the status of receiver Joe Cowan (knee). …UCLA had a light workout Monday and will practice Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday before taking Friday and Saturday off.

Is Karl saving Williams (Running back) and Graves (Receiver)? These young men can certainly contribute in a big way to the program, if giving the opportunity.

In light of the fact that we have no home run threat at running back, what do you think of the likelihood that Jeremy McGee might go back to tailback with the return of Michael Norris?

read that coach dorrell is coaching the punt returners, is there a reason that coach wristen is not coaching this group? i'd like to see the 3rd string qb. osaar rashaan give it go, since everyone nominating players.

Good point. Our backs lack speed and the receivers are dropping a lot more balls.
