UCLA threw the ball well in its opener but struggled with the run. It was vice versa in the second game, which leaves some intrigue about how good the Bruins can be, especially on offense, heading into today's Pac 10 opener at Washington.
“This is what is fun about our football team. We’re not even close to our potential yet,’’ UCLA coach Karl Dorrell said. “We showed a pretty good sign of that in our first game. We didn’t really show it in our second game. We need it to come out, for sure, on the road. We can play a whole lot better. That’s what is exciting for us, as players and coaches.’’
