This from UCLA defensive end Bruce Davis:
“They thought they were going to come in here and run over us, and we had another coming for them. Everybody played hard. We were knocking that offensive line back. We were in Booty’s face all night and just wanted it. We wanted it more than they did. They could see it in our eyes.’’

Early this season, I wrote how I loved this teams attitude, dedication and hard play even while in the midst of a four game losing streak and some very questionable coaching. I wrote how this Bruin team deserved at least a minute and a half mention on ESPN’s game day. Guess what the Bruins finally got the National attention I thought they deserved.
Living in Big 12 country where the PAC 10 gets absolutely no respect, I’ve been inundated by college football fans in awe of the defensive dominance over the mighty Trojans. The last game of the season and people are finally getting what a lot of Bruin fans have known for awhile, this is a good football team.
This was one of the best defensive coaching jobs of all times. Props to Karl and DeWayne for having the team ready to battle. Props to the team for battling. Fine Job by everyone, I just hope Chris, Lee and Kirk appreciated it as much as the Bruin faithful.
Beat FSU and beat them bad.
