UCLA is number 1 in rpi, and 4-1 in its last five games.
Florida and Wisconsin are lower RPIs, and are 3-2 in their last 5 games.
Explain the logic?

We lose 4 games on the road:
W.Va. -- 17-1 at home this year.
Ore. -- 17-2 at home this year.
Wash. -- 17-2 at home this year.
Stan. -- 13-5 at home this year.
With the exception of Stanford (who did lose 2 of those 5 games early in the season without Brook Lopez), those are some pretty difficult places to play.
How those 4 losses put us behind Fla and Wisc when you consider their schedules and results is a mystery.

Rankings are now arbitrary.
Brian, are you going to show your seeds for the NCAA tournament before selection Sunday?

SIU and Nevada still in the top 10? Ahead of UNC and Georgetown? No Maryland in your top 25 yet Winthrop is there? Are these team tennis rankings or basketball?
Posted by: jeffinsf at March 7, 2007 11:22 AM
How the hell is MD not ranked?
Posted by: rt at March 7, 2007 11:29 AM
Brian, do you think a resume like the one below, playing in one of the top conferences, should be in the top 25?
24-7
10-6 Conference
12 RPI
9 SOS
9-6 vs top 50
3-0 vs 51-100
Well, so does just about everybody in the entire world except you and a couple other morons. Your voting privledegs should be revoked.

Wow, you really have no business voting... among your absurdities, not placing Maryland in the Top 25 illustrates your ineptitude... Terps are 24-7 playing a top ten schedule, with a sweep of Duke, wins at Illinois, against Michigan State (neutral), at St. John's, and UNC (as well as 7 straight wins in the ACC)... oh, and a blowout of Winthrop...

Duke?? Is that a mid-major team?
ACC? We have never heard of that here on the West coast. I'm sure you just made up all those teams.

I assume you were drinking heavily when you completed this ballot right?

"Duke? Is that a mid-major team?"
HAHA. Well this Brian guy has them ranked in his top 25. Not surprising since his entire top 25 is a frigging joke. Butler at 13? Wazzu at 12?!!? Oregon 14?? Road apples.
I'll enjoy watching those Pac-10 patsies get blasted before the end of the first weekend of the NCAAs. Then maybe they'll start showing some real games out here in California.

UCLA should be unranked...
