Source: Collison won't enter draft

UCLA point guard Darren Collison will not enter the NBA draft, according to a source who spoke with him recently.
Collison has not officially made his intentions known, but he’s expected to do so on Wednesday. Josh Shipp, who had hip surgery on Friday, will not enter the NBA draft, either.
Last summer was a harried one for UCLA coaches since Arron Afflalo and Jordan Farmar both made their names eligible for the draft but neither hired agents so they could remain eligible to return to UCLA.
Farmar left for the NBA after his sophomore seaosn at UCLA and now is starting for the Lakers in the NBA playoffs. Afflalo decided to stay in school for his junior season but entered the NBA draft earlier this month.
UCLA will return four of five starters that went to the Final Four for the second consecutive year. With the addition of Kevin Love, arguably the top recruit in the country, the Bruins could make another run deep into the NCAA Tournament.
Collison averaged 12.7 points and 5.7 assists last season.

Collison changed his mind over the weekend. He realizes that next year's draft will be PG heavy with guys like Crittendon, Collins, Lawson, Mayo, Rose, etc... in the draft. Meanwhile this year's draft has 1 single PG who is a lock to go ahead of Collison in Mike Conley.

Collison was being pretty vocal today on campus. He made no secret of the fact that he has been told he is a top 20 pick and he wants to get out ahead of that deep PG class next season. He has been talking with two different agents. He said he likes Farmar's agent and will likely sign with him.

I hope this source is right. We need Collison badly next year. I rather have Westbrook playing the 2.
