Derrick Williams done
Tailback Derrick Williams' football career has ended due to multiple concussions. Williams, who would've been a fifth-year senior in the fall, was expected to add depth in the backfield, along with Chris Markey and Kahlil Bell. He sat out most of spring football practice with a concussion and also sustained concussions in 2005 and 2006. He's had at least three concussions over the last two seasons.

Derrick really put for his best effort in trying to get on the field and we all saw brief glimpses of what he could do when give the chance. This must have been a heartbreaking decision for him, his family and the coaching staff.
I just hope the best for Derrick and that no continued problems with concussions will affect his life.
