Holiday update

Campbell Hall guard Jrue Holiday was on campus last week for an unofficial visit, and things went very well. So well, in fact, that even with Holiday expected to go to Washington this weekend, UCLA isn't particularly concerned. The feeling I got from talking to several people is that, unless something unexpected happens, Holiday will wind up at UCLA.

But does anybody realize that Jrue and the Holiday family are not just going up to Washington this weekend but that Jrue and his family will be at Washington the "Entire Week".That's a pretty long Visit and with that much time for Romar to work on the family and Jrue I certainly wouldn't be doing any toasting of champagne. I would certainly feel different if it were for just (1) day like at UCLA but an ENTIRE WEEK. I don't know.

Always look forward to your columns, Brian. Would love to celebrate a "Holiday" in Bruin Land. Hope this comes to pass.

Justin Holiday already committed to UW so it's not out in the realm of possibilities that the Holiday family is going up to Seattle for more than just Jrue visiting with Romar and the Huskies. So the week stay sounds about right if that is the case.

Excellent report Brian. It's just amazing how far Howland has brought the program in four years. Holiday would never have even give UCLA a sniff before Ben got here. We all would have found out that he committed to Arizona or UCONN or even UNC.

This would give the Bruins the #1 class in the country. If these guys stay together for a couple of years, they would have to get one banner. Imagine a lineup with Holiday, Love, Lee, Gordon, and ??? It is a great time to be a Bruin fan.

Sean, add Jermie Anderson to that crop of talented youngsters. Jermie may be a critical factor in Holiday considering signing a LOI with UCLA. They have been friends since elementary school, plus JA accompanied JH on his trip. What a complete 180 GO BRUINS.
