If you missed it
UCLA has finalized its non-conference basketball schedule. I wrote about it in today's paper, but here it is.

What are the chances of UCLA playing at least a home-and-home with North Carolina?

I think they'll move the basket to 12 feet first. Seriously, though, UNC doesn't fit the mold of what UCLA is looking for in a high-profile non-conference game. It must be a CBS driven game, and as far as I can tell, against a well-known program that is never a monster (ie, Michigan and West Virginia). I don't think Howland wants Roy Williams coming to L.A. to recruit kids, and be able to tell those kids you can come back to L.A. and play against UCLA.

UCLA doesn't always look for the well-known program that's not a monster. He had the Ohio St. game set up until the Buckeyes backed out. Anyways, what have you heard on who UCLA may play in the Wooden Classic? Any rumors out there on who it might be?

The road to #12 is paved with marshmellows...at least early on. Howland should go for some all time Pauley scoring records. Maybe see if 200 pt plateau is attainable or going the other way, see if a opponent could be shut out for a half.
And Brian complained about covering a glorified scrimmage...Youngstown State, Western Ill, UC Davis, and Yale?
