Here are the notes I wrote in today's paper, and here is the Eric Scott story that was in the paper.
Yes, let the debates about Jackson begin.

Brian, don't even bother. Cal fans are just going to call you and DeSean Jackson liars.

Debate isn't really necessary. We're very familiar with the situation, and it would have taken a lot of things which were very unlikely for Desean to end up at UCLA. He made the best choice for him and his family and he's tearing it up.

Desean wanted to be a Bruin, but the UCLA admissions policy for athletes is of a higher level than that of Cal.

DeSean is better off for it. It's been a while since a UCLA WR has even cracked 500 recieving yards, let alone 1000. UCLA may have been a little bit better with him, but his talent would have been wasted.

Players slip through the cracks all the time...remember that Bruin running back from the late 80s (Price?) who actually committed to Ohio State but changed his mind and signed with UCLA when his Letter of Intent which was being faxed to Columbus somehow didn't get to the Buckeyes? No big deal, let's deal with more important matters such as going 11-0 facing the Trojans.
