Center of attention
With so many starting positions set, UCLA is in the search mode for those second-team guys to fill out the depth chart. I thought one such spot was at center, where UCLA doesn't have experience behind Chris Joseph.
However, offensive line coach Bob Connelly doesn't feel the same way, saying he was comfortable with Micah Reed at that spot.
"I think Micah Reed is a very qualified football player,'' Connelly said. "I think Micah Reed has proven himself. I think he gives us added depth on the front, period. I think he's very capable of playing center for us. I think he's very capable of playing guard for us.
"He's a smart player. He understands the offense, and I think he's a guy we can definitely get some mileage out of.''

The Micah Reed comment is surprising. I thought Meyers would be the 2nd stringer because he was highly recruited but its seems like he really struggled
What happened to Jake Dean? I thought he was the heir apparent. How is Andy Keene doing? He seems better suited for center because of his size

Those guys will step up as Jr. and Sr.
Remember that it takes 2/3 years to develop an Offensive lineman.
