Eyeing McLeod

Patrick Cowan said he will attend all the quarterback meetings, watch practice from on the field and help Ben Olson's new backup, McLeod Bethel-Thompson, in every way possible.
“I’m watching everything he does,’’ Cowan said. “I give him a report card after every practice. He’s doing well.’’
Wednesday's grade?
“Pass,’’ Cowan said.

It strikes me as very, very, very, very hard not to like Patrick Cowan.

Cowan reminds me of the old saying keep your friends close and your backups even closer. ;-) Just kidding.

If there is a better team player on this team I don't know who it is.

I see a coaching future for Cowan. QB coach at UCLA someday perhaps.
