Friday's tidbits
A couple small injuries dotted practice today, led by OL Shannon Tevaga's right shoulder. He said he was going for tests but didn't think it was serious. He injured it yesterday, but thought he could practice today, but had to shut it down early.
Also, FB Michael Pitre banged his knee, but coach Karl Dorrell said he hoped it was just a bruise and RB Ryen Carew has an impingement in his shoulder so he wore a red no-hit jersey and didn't take part in 7-on-7 or 11-on-11 drills.
Among the recruits were committed guys Aaron Hester of Compton Dominguez and Anthony Dye of Corona Santiago, and Arcadia WR Kevan Walker, the son of defensive coordinator DeWayne Walker. Kevan is committed to Minnesota, but could wind up at UCLA.
Also showing up with Kevan was highly-regarded teammate Todd Golper, a linebacker/running back.

off-topic but it's timely. Hollis Thompson is on campus today getting the treatment. I hear from sources that he will be offered a scholie. Right now he is a top 10 ranked forward that I hear Duke has as their #1 recruit. North Carolina and Georgetown are also heavily recruiting him. What are you hearing about this? Will Howland offer him a scholie today and how much is he in our camp? If Howland protects homecourt on this, it will be a huge blow to Duke.

Not sure if he is here today, but he was on campus Wednesday.

Thanks Brian .. maybe my source didn't get it right that Hollis wasn't on campus today. If he was on campus Wednesday I should think we would have heard something by now about an offer. Anyhow, thanks.

I can't believe I'm missing out on inside info like this at DD's blog! The source that could be right or wrong! Maybe your source could use a source? Looks like the only one getting "the treatment" is you!

embedded .. thanks for the grammar check, it's nice to know a perfect typist is around to let us all know when we've got a typo in our comments. As for my source, he got the day wrong (Friday instead of Wednesday) ... so what? Is this all you Dorrell supporters have?
