Dorrell on Osaar
With WR Marcus Everett likely out for Washington, coach Karl Dorrell said converted QB Osaar Rasshan would be the Bruins' third receiver at the X position. It should mean the first meaningful snaps for Rasshan.
"It would be good to see him in a roll like this because he's waited a couple of years to even get on the field so for his to do something for us is really a positive thing,'' Dorrell said. "I don't know what he would do with the ball in his hands. That's probably the next thing you would say. I hope he doesn't run the wrong way or anything like that. I don't think he would, but you can he's a little bit different for him. He will grow used to it."

BIZARRE!! Brian, with all due respect, is that quote correct? I know you tape everything, but what is Karlo saying? It is so hard to understand him.
Why would Karlo say "I hope he doesn't run the wrong way or anything like that." (deleted) Why would a coach say that about one of his players? Karlo is confused.

Did I read that right? One of the first thoughts KD had was that Osaar might get the ball and run toward the wrong end zone? I guess he's learned to worry about everything that can go wrong - I'll say that much for him. But that one wouldn't have been high on my list.

DORRELL WAS JOKING!!! My goodness, does nobody have a sense of humor anymore?
And please, everyone, stop with the abbreviations that, when spelled out, include unsuitable language. Last think this blog needs is some kid asking his parents what certain abbreviations stand for. There is a way to make a point without swearing.

Brian, I honestly considered that possibility and tried to read it that way, but it sure doesn't come accross that way in print. Oh, well, the joke's on me, I guess.
HAHAHAHAHAHA. That was a good one, KD!! You slay me! What a card.

Anybody else have the feeling that Everett may not get his job back from Rashaan? I went to some practices, and it seemed like Osaar was potentially the best guy out there. He definitely has the most upside and NFL-level talent.

I'll believe THAT when I see it. Practice is one thing game time is another. Let's just see how the first game goes for him.

If he is as athletic as people say, then it's too bad he never got a chance to take some snaps in a real game for a team that ran a spread offense. It would have been very interesting to see how he performed. Instead, he got stuck in the KDWCO.

Would UCLA even consider Rick Neuheisel as a possible replacement?

BD - I lost my sense of humor when last week's scoreboard read:
Utah 44 UCLA 6
