UCLA DT Brigham Harwell will have an MRI Monday to determine the extent of the damage done to a sprained medial collateral ligament in his left knee. As reported after the game, sources said the preliminary diagnosis is for Harwell to miss four weeks.
Also, Bruins coach Karl Dorell said backup strong safety Bret Lockett is expected to miss next week's game at Utah because of a strained hamstring. It means Chris Horton will be backed up by either walk-on Matt Culver, or either FS Aaron Ware or Matt Slater will move over to strong safety.
Receiver Brandon Breazell had a few teeth knocked out when he was hit by accident by TE Logan Paulsen. Breazell underwent dental surgery and has a concussion, but he is expected to be ready for Utah.
Also, CBs Rodney Van, who was limited to special teams and a snap or two on defense because of an ankle injury, did not suffer any setbacks and should be ready to play. DE Nikola Dragovic was feeling better Sunday after leaving the game with a concussion, and should be ready for the Utes.
