PROFILE

This is Brian Dohn's fifth season covering UCLA after spending 4 1/2 years covering the Dodgers for the Daily News and other Los Angeles Newspaper Group papers. He graduated from Rutgers, where the first college football game was played in 1869. Sure, the Scarlet Knights suffered for a long time, but now RU is doing what Jerseyans always thought was possible. Winning at Rutgers also proves winning is possible everywhere else in the nation, so underachieving coaches better be careful. Now, if only men's hoops can turn it around.

Raise your hand if you thought anybody would rank Cincinnati over USC in anything, ever. Also, didn't Illinois just beat Wisconsin? Didn't Tennessee just thoroughly demolish Georgia? Didn't Florida just lead LSU for most of the game in Baton Rouge?

I just see some inconsistencies in here, as I see on pretty much every college football poll ever, and wonder if you could give a little explanation for your decisions on the rankings. Pretty much anything that can keep my mind off of the crushing malaise setting in would be nice.

Wow...really like to know how you justify placing a Florida team that lost 2 weeks in a row in the top 10. Wow!

How can you rank Georgia ahead of Tenn? Both have two losses to top ranked opponents and Tenn. just destroyed Georgia.
