PROFILE

This is Brian Dohn's fifth season covering UCLA after spending 4 1/2 years covering the Dodgers for the Daily News and other Los Angeles Newspaper Group papers. He graduated from Rutgers, where the first college football game was played in 1869. Sure, the Scarlet Knights suffered for a long time, but now RU is doing what Jerseyans always thought was possible. Winning at Rutgers also proves winning is possible everywhere else in the nation, so underachieving coaches better be careful. Now, if only men's hoops can turn it around.

Injury report

Other than QB Ben Olson, UCLA didn't have any major injuries. Coach Karl Dorrell said WR Dominique Johnson's ankle sprain was mild, and the Bruins "hope to have him back soon. Don't know exactly when, but probably soon.''
TB Kahlil Bell, who bruised his right shoulder at Oregon State, missed some time in the second half against Notre Dame with the same injury. I do not believe that is considered a long-term injury.

Hi Brian: I just read the Sunday night article and Dorrell is quoted as saying "I don't regret that at all," Dorrell said. "I made the right decision, with moving Osaar to receiver."

If he made the right decision, then why is he changing his mind and moving Osaar back to QB for Cal? Can Dorrell ever admit when he makes a mistake, especially when 90,000+ at the Rose Bowl are there as witnesses?

He's simply a joke. KD is deluded and is trying to brainwash his players with the garbage (read some of their remarks after the game). THIS SEASON IS DONE WITH.

The AD should grow a pair and give KD his walking papers, and then hand over the reign to Walker until we get a new coach.

How much more emberassment do we need?

Yes, it was absolutely the right decision to not move him back after PC went down. Look at the difference that Osaar has made this season at reciever. How many games would we have lost had he not been making all those plays? That is clearly much more important than having a contigency plan at QB.
