PROFILE

This is Brian Dohn's fifth season covering UCLA after spending 4 1/2 years covering the Dodgers for the Daily News and other Los Angeles Newspaper Group papers. He graduated from Rutgers, where the first college football game was played in 1869. Sure, the Scarlet Knights suffered for a long time, but now RU is doing what Jerseyans always thought was possible. Winning at Rutgers also proves winning is possible everywhere else in the nation, so underachieving coaches better be careful. Now, if only men's hoops can turn it around.

Knox on Fox

Milton Knox just confirmed what Brian Dohn reported earlier today: Knox will be a Bruin.
Knox announced the decision on Fox. He had hats from Notre Dame, Florida and UCLA on the set. At first, he went for the Notre Dame hat, then said `nah,' and picked up the UCLA hat. It was likely a nerve-racking split-second for many Bruins.
``To tell you the truth, with UCLA you can't go wrong,'' Knox said. ``It was a chance for my family to see me at home. With Aundre Dean, we have two running backs, a one-two punch that will be dynamic for the offense.''
