UCLA updates
Here is an update from UCLA on a few hoopsters:
UCLA junior forward Luc Richard Mbah a Moute had his boot removed and is walking around in an air cast. UCLA is listing him as probable for Sunday's game at USC.
Also, power forward Alfred Aboya is fine. He does not have a broken nose.
As for PG Darren Collison, according to UCLA, he was not ill or something from a cold or the flu during Sunday's game. He was not feeling well before Thursday's game at Washington State, but that passed and he was fine.
If the PAC 10 Championship comes down to the game against Stanford, I sure hope that Libbey is not leading the officiating crew! I've seen enough UCLA games officiated by Libbey that usually end up with UCLA on the short end of the stick, more so if UCLA is on the road. I was delighted on Thursday against WS with Libbey no where in sight. Then came Sunday and I knew this was not a good sign. Are you kidding me, how many no calls underneath the basket with UCLA getting hacked, meanwhile Libbey and crew blowing whistles for junk like Collison reacting, because that's all it was, both players reacted. And I won't even get into that shot at Aboya!! I hope UCLA can bring this up to the attention of the PAC 10, because Libbey is the worst, the worst!!! I'm not blaming the loss completely on the officiating but they sure made it just about impossible for UCLA to get a fair break! But enough of that, BRUINS Head Up!! I'm confident the Bruins will put this game behind them and move on. Cheering you on in North Carolina!! GO UCLA! FIGHT, FIGHT, FIGHT!!!
Collison's shooting was so far off during the game that you wondered if the coach should tell him to stop taking any more shots and concentrate on distributing the ball. It looked like he was ill. At one point the commentators on TV described Collison as "staggering."
