Bring on USC

It won't be official for another five minutes or so, but UCLA will play USC in the semifinals for the right to play for the Pac-10 Tournament championship. UCLA and USC have never met in the Pac-10 Tournament. The Trojans played before the Bruins Thursday, so they were here at Staples Center watching most of UCLA's thrashing of Cal. UCLA leads by 30 points - 78-48 - with 4:28 left.

Both schools are underdogs to win the national championship (indeed, every entrant is an underdog in the 65-team field), but the City title can be won tonight by either SC or ucla. You think the players and fans take this game seriously? Just show up at Staples tonight and find out first-hand.

And this will be the biggest crowd ever for a Trojan-bruin basketball game.
