Can't buy a free throw

Ben Howland said he figured fatigue (from the two earlier Pac-10 games) had something to do with UCLA's horrendous free-throw shooting performance. It certainly shouldn't have had anything to do with the Bruins' woeful perfomrance from the line in the first half, when they were 1-for-9. Lorenzo Mata-Real was happy to point out after the game that he was the one who made the free throw. Which is ironic, considering he's the worst free-throw shooter on the team at 44 percent.
``That was me,'' Mata-Real said with a big smile. ``We hvae to make our free throws. We've got to work on that.''
