UCLA coach Ben Howland said he was not highly concerned about center Kevin Love's back, which gave him problems during the title game of the Pac-10 Tournament. Love said his back was sore, but he received ice and stimulus treatment throughout Sunday and expects to be ready to go come Thursday's opening game of the NCAA Tournament.
Meanwhile, power forward Luc Richard Mbah a Moute shed his crutches and is only wearing a walking boot. He said he was uncertain if he would play in the opener against Mississippi Valley State, but was hoping to.
"I want to play in every game because any game could be the last game of the season,'' Mbah a Moute said.
