Love on destiny
ULCA has won 12 consecutive games and survived some close calls. Here's what Kevin Love said when asked if he believed in destiny. He pointed to a moment in the regular-season game against Stanford.
"Russell's free throw hit the back of the rim, bounced up in the air, bobbled a couple of times and I was like, 'Russ, this is destiny here, you're going to knock this next one down and we're going to win the game,' " Love said. "Hey, that ended up happening, and that was kind of a surreal moment for me."

Very Disappointed in the Headline of today's sports page:
MISSING IN ACTION (an article on Josh Shipp)
The guy had the game winning block to get us into the sweet sixteen, and you have the main article on the front page of the sport section calling him MIA?
Brian, do you even know how to cover a successful team? Every article from you is negative. You wrote more positve articles about our 6-7 football team then you do about our 33-3 basketball team. Wake up and figure out something special is happening.
Silverlake,
Most reporters do not write their own headlines.
And to be fair if Shipp had hit some more shots then the block would not have mattered.
But honestly, why criticize every little thing? Who cares if Brian is negative about the team? He's a reporter not the Sports Info Director or AD. He has no obligation to provide favorable coverage.
