Ready for Pac-10s

UCLA PG Darren Collison said there should be no concern the Bruins are not interested in the Pac-10 Tournament since winning the Pac-10 regular season title. He added playing Cal today is motivation since the Bears beat UCLA in the Pac-10 tourney last season.
"Last year, it hurt us bad,'' Collison said. "Yeah, we got to the Final Four, but the fact we could have had a No. 1 seed and we fell to a No. 2 seed ...losing to Cal that first game, I remember guys coming back from the game, it was painful. It was real painful. We don't want that to happen again"
Collison said practices leading up the NCAA Tournament were much more demanding than the previous season, when the Bruins won the Pac-10 Tournament.
"(Coach Ben Howland) did not go easy on practices,'' Collison said. "I think that is why we had a good run. We can't lose that first game in the (Pac-10) tournament. We cannot."
