UCLA 70, Mississippi Valley State 29

| | Comments (2) |

Kevin Love had 20 points and nine rebounds in his debut in the NCAA Tournament as UCLA crushed the Delta Devils 70-29. He easily could've had a double-double but didn't play the last seven minutes of the game. Russell Westbrook was the last UCLA starter to leave the game for good at 11:25. Luc Richard Mbah a Moute didn't play.

Of all the teams UCLA has played this year, Miss Valley State was easily the most overmatched. It's hard to believe they were more worthy than Va Tech or ASU. Maybe a few more play in games, say 3 more to expand to 70, would be the answer.

For the Bruins, the tourney will begin on Saturday against the Aggies. Im just relieved they got thru this game without any injuries.

If Kevin Love didn't play the last 7 minutes of the game, does that mean he played until the clock read 7:00? If that's true, how could Russell Westbrook be the last starter to leave when the clock read 11:25? I don't get it.
