UCLA wins

UCLA came back to win, many thanks to Kevin Love. But Shipp made the big play at the end. Donald Sloan took a shot and Josh Shipp blocked it. Russell Westbrook got the ball and was all alone on the fastbeak and made a one-handed slam on the other end as time expired.
UCLA wins 53-49 and makes the Sweet 16 for the third consecutive year.

i can't believe they pulled out this win. i had to turn off the tv several times b/c it was so painful to watch. the last two minutes were amazing.

Tripod = focusing on the negatives for no reason. Tripod = should be celebrating the victory and supporting Shipp. Shipp = game winning block. Shipp = member of soon to be 3 Bruin Final Four teams.

Dear GOD.......

I have been diagnosed with moderate premature ventricular contractions (a benign heart condition) and this game really exacerbated an already annoying condition. If UCLA plays games like this throughout the tournament, I will seriously have to check myself in at a hospital for precautionary measures when they play.

Wow, what gut-check win. Shades of Tyus Edney and Missouri in the second round in '95. I was more concerned about A&M than any other team in this region. We got this one out of our system; can't believe the other 3 starters could all shoot so poorly for more than one game.

ubcrluain- you might want to get a Rx for Xanax. ALl the rest of us could use TUMS.

Is there a better team in the nation in crunch time?!? All the haters will say we just got lucky again but this team just finds ways to win.

As they say, good teams find ways to win; opposite for all our victims left shaking their heads come the final buzzer.

Onward to Phoenix!

Hope JRW's heart is okay after watching that nail biter. Love & Collison played outstanding!

Ever had the yips when putting? I think Shipp has a case of shooting yips. Might need a sports shrink to get him back on track. Wish the Bruins had Michael Roll to back up Josh right now.

This game was beginning to look like the loss to U$C. But unlike that setback to the Toejams, UCLA got the epiphany in the second half that it just wasn't going to be their night from the perimeter and went to a two-man game just in time to pull out the win...now let's all root for Western KY-Jelly on Easter Sunday...

At the game, gut checks for the last 10 minutes, crowd roaring, can't hear, Honda Center echoing, no offensive help for Kevin and DC; 7 blocks for the freshman? unreal and the turnaround and Darren's drives down the lane. Fans standing and cheering long after the game is over. Shades of the loss to WU now gone, visions of Tyus and the win over Missouri arise. Onward to PHX. GO BRUINS!

If Josh Shipp doesn't start hitting outside shots the Bruins will be in trouble once they get past their next game.

Unless Shipp starting his outside shots UCLA will be in trouble after the next game.
