Larry Brown back in the NBA

Larry Brown, the former UCLA coach, is coaching in the NBA…again. He was hired today to coach the Charlotte Bobcats, the ninth NBA coaching gig. What do you guys think? Good fit? Will he finally retire here?

    Seems like more of a favor to MJ than anything. I give it two years before Larry burns out or his players tune him out.

    Last summer, I thought Larry should have replaced Phil Jackson on the Lakers. It’s amazing how a couple of trades can change the fortunes of an NBA franchise. But Brown should follow his modus operandi in Charlotte: Year 1 – vast improvement, eke into #8 seed in East. Year 2 – respectable run in playoffs, win first round, lost valiantly in Conference semifinals.
    Year 3 – Implosion…
