Alumni event
UCLA hosted a bundle of former players at its practice Thursday. Here is a release on it from the school:
UCLA Football Players of the Past Visit Practice
Over 125 Bruin players of the past visited UCLA football practice on Thursday at the invitation of head coach Rick Neuheisel.
At the conclusion of the two-hour practice, the alumni players were invited into the huddle as Terry Donahue, head coach from 1976-95, addressed the current team members. The current players then had a chance to visit with their counterparts from the past.
Among the alumni in attendance were Donahue, Manu Tuiasosopo, Kris Farris, Andy Meyers, John Sciarra, Jojo Townsell, Cormac Carney, Paul Bergmann, Peter Boermeester, Marcedes Lewis, Mike Seidman, Skip Hicks, Derek Ayers, Ed Kezirian, Rob Kezirian, Bruce Walton, Danny Farmer, Paco Craig, James Washington, Frank Stephens, Matt Stevens, Wayne Cook, Bryan Adams, Cory Paus, offensive coordinator Homer Smith and Justin Hickman, to name a few. Also in attendance were several members of the 2007 team, including Brandon Breazell, Dennis Keyes and Chris Horton.
Portions of today’s practice will be featured on next Wednesday night’s Lexus Gauntlet UCLA Spring Football Show on FSN Prime Ticket. Bill MacDonald, James Washington and Sean Farnham host the show.

Unfortunately the Alumni were all disappointed as it was Ditch-Thursday.
What, too obvious?
Still pretty awesome that Coach Neuheisel is bringing old players back into the fold (something Dorrell never embraced). It's amazing hearing the names of past Bruin greats coming back on campus and helping out the program again. UCLA can only hope to have players the caliber of Kris Farris and Danny Farmer again...this is definitely a step in the right direction.
For a number of years now there has been a football great from the past walk out with the team captains for the coin toss at the Rose Bowl.
