Here is the second set:

Was wondering if there is anyone you speculate to be committing to UCLA for football soon. I know you said in the past you wouldn't say but i was hoping you'd like to get it off your chest before you leave us. Also will there be more commits after practice is done since CRN will have more time?
Yes, I hate to speculate on it, but since I’m close to vacation and in a good mood, I will give you one– Byron Moore of Nabonne. I would think the commits could start coming soon since the staff is heading out on the recruiting road Monday.

Is there a deadline for Aboya to decide if he will be returning? Is it better than 50/50 that he will return?
There is no hard deadline. UCLA coach Ben Howland said Aboya earned the right to make the decision with his own time frame. And, to be honest, it is not as if there will be a scholarship crunch. UCLA needs bigs, and will if Aboya is back or not. I’m still hearing he is leaning toward leaving UCLA.

Any word on 2009 USC recruits contacting us about possible visits?
The one I keep hearing is interested in UCLA is Randall Carroll.

If Crissman comes in and sets the world on fire, is there any chance of him becoming the starter within a few weeks? Do you think his arrival will affect possible position switch by Osaar?
I don’t see it happening with Crissman. The problem is he will be so far behind the other quarterbacks in learning the offense, getting acclimated to the speed of the game and everything else. It takes a very, very special kid, physically and mentally, to play quarterback as a true freshman, and also very little talent with the rest of the quarterbacks in the program. As for Rasshan, I don’t see it, unless they can convince him by not giving him reps in the spring, the only way he will play is at another position. He’s steadfast in his belief right now.

Why would DCollisn take so long announcing his plans for the future? I mean he is a junior with NBA talent so it would seem like a no brainer to just declare without an agent just because it couldnt hurt right? Is there more than to the situation that I am not understanding?
He enjoys college, his family doesn’t need the money and the draft is not supposed to be as deep next season. Also, he could work out as a junior, show flaws in his game, and that would leave a negative impression with scouts for next year.

Is the team aloud to get together after spring ball in pads w/o coaches and work on the offense? If yes, do you think that they would?
No.

Does UCLA have a shot at Aaron Murray or Kevin Newsome? Where does UCLA stand in their recruitment? I know Florida is hard on both of their heels... Will it take a while for UCLA to have out of state recruiting clout?
Well, Murray is going to Georgia, and I don’t see UCLA being a serious player for Newsome. In my opinion, it will take some time for UCLA to get some recruiting clout out of state, and more focus should be on recruiting SoCal at this point.

Can you see Norm Chow having a big time effect on offensive recruiting for this season and next?
I can see it, but only after the product on the field shows signs of improvement, and the coaching staff can pitch the ideas to recruits. It is more through osmosis, since I don’t believe Chow will be off campus recruiting very much.

Why doesnt UCLA do the final spring game like other schools do and divide up into two teams and have an actual game? I understand this year might be based on depth but other years it has been the same way.
I often ask myself that question of ‘Why does UCLA do this when other schools do that?’’ several times a week.
