Here is the third set:

How does Forcier look in practice? Has he gained muscle mass or appear stronger than last year?
Athletic. Very, very athletic. But he struggles with his accuracy, his decisions are still slow (which is expected) and he needs to get much, much stronger. He doesn’t look much different to me.

How is he performing in his limited reps compared to the other QB's, particularly compared to Craft and Rashaan?
He’s performing well enough that I believe he will come out of spring as UCLA’s third quarterback. Comparing him to Rasshan is impossible since Rasshan is not getting any reps in 11-on-11.

What are your thoughts on the Seattle Times "Victory and Ruins" series on Rick Neuheisel and his legacy at Washington?
Here's the article if you haven't read it:

This was covered months ago when the series came out. In short, I have no problem with the series. The question, as its been since the day Neuheisel was hired, is whether or not Neuheisel learned from past problems and will not make the same mistakes again.

Favorite TV Show?
Deadliest Catch.

When you say you run into players how campus, are you just walking around, and see them, and run over? How Does that work?
I’m on campus. They are on campus. Our paths cross, we stop and chat. Sometimes they come over to me and say hi, and other times I go talk to them.

Where are you going for your trip?
I know it won’t be Sacramento.

As a UCSB id love to see UCLA play UCSB again. I hear that Howland is not happy with UCSB, is that true and if so why? Does this mean he would not want to play SB? Also recall Roll was going to UCSB, and then picked UCLA. Did UCSB get angry at UCLA for this...
I don’t know if Howland is upset with UCSB, other than knowing he lost when they played. As for Roll, the relationship was strained when UCLA recruited him even though he was committed to UCSB.

I never liked our QBs wearing red jerseys at Spaulding and wondered why they couldn’t wear a bright blue or some other shade of blue. This spring it seems that they’re wearing dark blue or black jerseys. Do you know why RN made the change?
No, other than to say the practice jerseys for everyone changed.

With Coach Neu and Coach Chow working with Vince Young and Kordell Stewart respectivlly in the past, why do you think they may not have went that route in an offensive scheme having looked at the athletic ability of Rasshan and other QB's we have?
Because that is not the offensively philosophy that fits this team. Young and Stewart could each throw the ball effectively. UCLA’s two most athletic quarterbacks, Rasshan and Forcier, have not proven they can do that.

What are the odd's Rasshan starts a game at qB this year?
11-2, but that is unofficial.

I heard awhile back that Pitre was not given a 6th year of eligibility; can you confirm that?
Yes, it was denied in mid-March.

Dohnster, how long do you think you'd last as a greenhorn on the Cornelia Marie? Also, do you prefer King Crab or Opies?

About Inside UCLA

This is Brian Dohn's sixth season covering UCLA after spending 4 1/2 years covering the Dodgers for the Daily News and other Los Angeles Newspaper Group papers. He graduated from Rutgers, where the first college football game was played in 1869. Sure, the Scarlet Knights suffered for a long time, but now RU is doing what Jerseyans always thought was possible. Winning at Rutgers also proves winning is possible everywhere else in the nation, so underachieving coaches better be careful. Now, if only men's hoops can turn it around.
