Chow story

For those that wondered, a story on how Norm Chow will influence UCLA's offense will run in Thursday's paper as a precursor to spring practice. Everyone I talked to about Chow and his influence used some form of the word "simplistic" in describing his style.
By the way, when I talked to Chow, I asked him if he ever thought he would be UCLA's offensive coordinator.
"Not in a million years,'' he said. "I could have spent the next few years walking on the beach since I had three years left on my contract (with the Tennessee Titans), and I had some opportunities with other (NFL) teams. But I wanted to be close to home after living away for so long."
