First Day Grade: B-minus

| | Comments (1) |

OK, it's only the first day. And there was a lot of new things to learn, but as far as atmosphere and intensity, Rick Neuheisel gave the Bruins first day of spring football about a B-minus.

``The objective is, you're not walking on this field,'' Neuheisel said. ``You're always moving. ... We probably got a B minus on that today. But that's because there was a lot of thinking. Tommorrow we'll be more on them about that.''

It sounds like Coach Neuheisel is making a distinct effort to improve the pace of things, not unlike his counterpart across town.

I love it. It's been noted previously that the practices over the last 5 years have been somewhat more deliberate, more like an NFL practice. It's good to keep the energy level of practice up as that should translate over to game-days.
